"I did a comparison test of two types of washout masks using exactly the same acetate template (halftone photo set at 50 dpi) I gave both masks identical exposure times of 10 seconds and then washed both of the masks simultaneously to be able to time how long they each took to finish.

The other mask took a lot longer to start washing out - and then immediately started to lose much of the emerging detail.
